Geothermal Loop Field

Hydrofracturing

Hydrofracturing is a well development process that involves injecting water under high pressure into a bedrock formation via the well. This is intended to increase the size and extent of existing bedrock fractures, pumping water into those fractures at pressures as high as 3000 psi and flow rates as high as 85 gallons per minute

ABOUT US

Kleiman Pump & Well Drilling, Inc. has been serving the water needs of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan and Northern Wisconsin since 1946. As our area’s premier water well drilling contractor, we pride ourselves in providing our customers with high quality, dependable water solutions.

Our company was founded by Bill and Elaine Kleiman when they purchased Erickson Pump Service which sold and repaired gasoline and water pumps. Shortly after the purchase of this company, the name was changed to Kleiman Pump Service. The first cable tool rig was purchased not long after and the name was changed yet again to Kleiman Pump & Well Drilling, Inc.

As the business continued to grow, so did the growing pains. In 1961, Bill’s and Elaine’s son, Harry, took over the company and relocated the operations from Bill and Elaine’s back yard to where it currently sits today, at the junction of US2 and M95 in Iron Mountain, MI.

Since then, the company has grown to what it is today and has expanded it services to include residential, municipal, industrial, agricultural, and exploratory well drilling and pump services, water treatment system, geothermal loop field installations, and industrial / commercial pump rental services.
